Why are some people so rude and think something is wrong with being quiet?

Sometimes, they are frightened that you may have something hidden that may show them up. They may be right in that the shy often have hidden qualities that go deeper than those of an extrovert. But, I think the shy often learn about important matters and are probably less likely to hurt anyone.
