Jodhpurs vs. jeans..?

I find them annoying. I live in the UK and I have to wear them. But if it is REALLY hot them leggings. They don't really care what you wear in lessons as long as they are long and you wear boots with them. I can't wear jeans though, I wear them when riding my horse because they are more comfy. But we HAVE to wear light johdphurs for shows -_-
