Why couldn't he understand that i wanted to go out on a date with him first?

If he was not willing to compromise then do you want him? My granny used to say whats for you won't go by you, maybe he was just looking for sex? it's perfectly normal to want sex, we all do, but if it's your first time it should be comfortable and special don't you think? A lover who doesn't compromise isn't going to put your needs first, maybe you had a lucky escape? compromise is important in a relationship but it should be happy compromise or it causes resentment, you are young and you will fall in love a million times and it will be good and bad ( I hope more good than bad!) be strong and happy love will happen.
