What's up with guys and wanting to do everything?

I do the same for my GF, just the way I am! She also tells me not to buy her flowers or offer to do stuff for her. She is very independent, but accepts that is just the way I am! Would you rather have some deadbeat that leaches off you and takes advantage of you? Yea probably not!
