We rescued a beaver from a culvert near our house, and the beaver stinks. What should we do?

we really dont want a stinky beaver in our house. My wife is especially insistent on there not being a stinky beaver, and I concur. It stinks. It is bothering our pussycat, Mr Foot as well. What can we do to fix this problem? Scrub the beaver with soap? And if that is attempted, should we pummel the beaver senseless first, so we can really give it a good scrubbing? And so it dosent snap at us, of course. Animal control? We need some help from a beaver expert, please!!
